Main Lessons: Elevation of the Cross; Beginning our Book of Days

Paint: Wet-on-wet with yellow and red

Music: 1812 Overture (containing troparion for the Cross)

  1. How do you do the 1812 overture with the tropar for the cross???

"Number of the week: 3" reminds me of Sesame Street:

"This has been brought to you by the number three.."

  2. I know, I was thinking the Sesame Street thing when I was typing it out.

The 1812 Overture contains the troparion for the cross! If you get the whole thing or at least a version that has the slow beginning of the famous part, it's got both the French national anthem and Russia's song, which is the troparion of the cross (I'm unclear if that was their national anthem per se). Then it goes into the part with the canons. :)

  3. Thanks, Michelle. I'm hoping to add a few more entries, and maybe some photos. But photos have fallen by the wayside since having John....
