How to Be Well Amused

First, go watch the video Mat. Emily posted.

I really do wish I lived in a time when most people thought about their appearances regularly, and I love Matushka's insight into these and other feminine matters.

However, for anyone else who had Mystery Science Theater 3000 voices saying things in their heads along with that short, go watch this.  It's not actually by The Masters or anything, but it cracks wise it most of the right places.

**To warn you (in case you'd rather not have yourself or your kids see these things), the clips at the links above contain some adult humor (the h-word, some cross-dressing references, etc.).  But it's all in good fun.

  1. I can't wait to watch some more of those! We LOVE MST3K over here! (I'm sure that doesn't surprise you in the least.)

  2. Matushka, I almost sent the link to just you, KNOWING you would be a fan. But I decided to post instead. ;0

  3. I think our favorite is "Pod People".

    "Little potatoes..."

  4. Not sure I've seen "Pod People." I've seen "The Mole People," if that helps.

LOTS of them are on the Netflix Watch Instantly feature. Last night, we watched "Eegah!" which I would recommend. :)

    My favs in college were...

"The Pumaman" (pronounced, "The PuMAman" and with jingles like "Pu-ma-man, he flies like a moron! Or comments like "Hmmm... Pumas aren't really known for their flying abilities.")

"Boggy Creek II: The Legend Continues." I have no idea what "Boggy Creek I" was about. Gems like "Here's a broccoli rubber band for your head."

"Werewolf" which is technically in English but everyone has foreign accents. ("That's absolutely fascinating.") And the end credits have this fabulous montage of songs sung over top of the drum beat that's playing.

I could keep going, but I won't bore you all any more. ;)
